These cowl ventilators are made of flexible PVC, while the revolving rings are of salt water resistant marine f/glass.
This allows the cowl to be loosened and revolve while still being removable.
A mosquito screen can be placed between the cowl and the base plate
Should heavy weather dictate, and no dorade box is incorporated in your deck head then a cover plate for watertight closing is also required.
We find this unit suits commercial charter boats, fishing boats and offshore vessels.
