An accumulator tank as the title suggests, simply stores water and when you turn your fresh water tap on it uses the water inside the tank before starting your pressure pump. This lessens the number of times your pump has to start up, particularly when using for low flow, such as doing your teeth, or hand washing. The tank has a rubber diaphram inside the tank, so as you use the water from it, it replaces the water with pressure from the rubber diaphram to keep pressure in the line. Once the tank is empty your pressure pumps takes over again. More storage of water in line means less start ups on your pump, set to 40PSI but easily altered by the "bike" sytle valve on the end.
Incorporates a 3/4" BSP male thread outlet on the base. Simply tee the unit in after your pressure pump, on the pressure side (not the water tank side).
Unlike most other brands, our unit comes with two fastening plates and nylon straps to secure to a bulkhead or similar. Making it more suitable to mount in a confined area such as an engine room.
