True lag screw configuration of metric thread with two nuts that can be locked together to form a head (woodscrew thread on the other end) to enable the installer to screw the lag screw into timber, then remove the nuts and put a fitting on the stud. Simply put the nuts back on. This enables you to fasten a product to the vessel where you cannot use a bolt and a screw is too light weight.
Being s/s generally not used underwater.
