In our industry this product is used for keel bolt washers, chain plates and straps.
The 2mm can be cut with a large manual guillotine (or large electric one), not by tin snips. It can be shaped and formed, cut, welded (using bronze MIG welding wire) or braised.
Other sizes (with 2-3 week delay) are 2mm, 3mm, 4.5mm thick (1m long x 180mm wide is the norm) but the sheet sizes will vary in 8mm, generally measuring 390mm long x 300mm wide x 8mm thick.
Being cold formed by a molding process, it makes it stronger than a cast crystaline format and gives a consistent perfectly flat surface.
