A twisted rope that is hand splicable and soft to touch.
Most anchor lines are nylon because of its remarkable shock absorption qualities (20 - 25%)
Characteristics - amongst the strongest man-made fibre used in rope, excellent shock absorption, stretches up to 46% before breaking, sinks in water (so it doesn't easily get caught in the propeller ).
Applications - anchor warp, light duty towing rope, some climbing ropes, commercial fishing.
