(25200G)
Silicon Bronze Woodscrews with a raised head (sometimes referred to as an oval head) with countersunk underneath.
These solid type # 651 silicon bronze woodscrews have a considerably higher tensile strength than brass screws.
Their resistance to dezincification is also greater and therefore ideal for high quality marine work and under water use. They are resistant to acids and unlike stainless steel they are impervious to the chemicals used to treat, treated timbers.
For those not used to Bronze (rather than brass ) bronze has a very large copper content giving it close to the shear strength of steel (&stainless steel). This means the bronze bolts are often used in the mining industry as the shear strength being slightly less than steel allows the bronze to be used as a sacrificial bolt - when that shears they know the steel is not far behind and must either cease work or replace the bronze bolt.
They are a true woodscrew (tapered and solid, not rolled) .
