Fix1DC-High quality single component adhesive sealant used for Teak and Synthetic Teak caulking.

Fix1DC is a chemically neutral Silicone suitable for use in the Marine, Transport and Construction industry where a strong UV and soap resistant flexible rubber bond is required.

Fix1DC is suitable for caulking of seams in Teak, most other timber types, Cork and Synthetic Teak decking and will withstand all weather climatic conditions.

After use seal the cartridge with sellotape or similar for an extended shelf life

    • High extrudability and good workability.
    • Excellent sandability after full cure. (3-5 days for best results)
    • No bubble formation within the sealant.
    • Easy application and finish. Fixtech does not recommend the use of chemicals or solvents during the process of tooling. Please refer to the TDS for more information.
    • Suitable for use where pH neutral soap cleaning will occur.
    • Verified by NOHSC as non-hazardous and ROHS as compliant for health reasons.
  • Fix1DC is NOT paintable. Refer to the TDS for more information.
  • Tape is available for placing in the bottom of the groove where caulking is used in hotter climates above 30 degrees.  Sealants are really only flexible in one dimension, thus it is imperative that the sides of the teak are doused with one coat of epoxy timber preservative or Epoxy Evidure (similar products) so the caulking can attach firmly to the timber.

Many of the non silicone based deck caulkings do not accept deck cleaners as they break down conventional caulking and create and poor seal after many years, thus Fix 1Dc is the better agent when doing full decks.  (Occasional short repairs the non silicone base as acceptable)
