Micron One is a general purpose, high strength, cuprous oxide based antifouling. It’s quick drying and can be used on fiberglass, wood, and primed underwater metals, but NOT ALUMINIUM.

Application & Use:-

  • All substrates must be clean, dry and free from contaminants. All surfaces should have been primed with the appropriate primers. Suggested primers: Interprotect® (two pack) (part number for 1L (26616) on our website) or Primocon (single pack) (part number for 1L (26607) on our website.
  • Apply 2 coats per season on the hull. 3 coats are required on the leading and trailing edges, waterline, rudder and keel. This is important for best performance.

Hints:-

  • Thinner: YTA085 International Antifouling Thinner No.3. (part number for 1L (27702) on our website) 
  • Thinning: Do not thin unless absolutely necessary. If thinning is necessary, do not thin more than 10% by volume. 
  • Cleaner: YTA085 International Antifouling Thinner No.3. 
  • Ventilation and Humidity Control: Ensure adequate ventilation during use. 
  • Airless Spray: Pressure: 176­210 bar. Tip Size: 2180. 
  • Other: For Airmix spray application ­ Pressure: 2.5 bar. Tip Size: 20­113. True colour will develop after immersion. For in season maintenance wipe surface with a soft sponge or equivalent. Heavy cleaning operations on a regular basis may remove some paint leading to a reduction of the in­service life of the coating. To prevent premature failure, ensure the correct amount of paint is applied using the coverage as a guide.

 

  • Not suitable for use over Aluminium/Alloy substrates or zinc sprayed surfaces. Ambient temperature should be minimum 5°C/41°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Product temperature should be minimum 5°C/41°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Substrate temperature should be 3°C/5°F above dew point and maximum 35°C/95°F.
  • Coverage:- (Theoretical) ­ 6m²/L per coat (Practical)   5.4m²/L per coat by brush, 3.2m²/L by spray
