Solid Brass nails with a slight domed head and round shank.

Nails with a number of 18g or higher (18, 19, 20 to 22) have a nominal, very small head. Nails 17g below (17, 16, 14) have a more rounded dome head.

The larger the numbered gauge, the thinner the diameter of the nail. In other words, an 18g nail is considerably thinner than a 16g nail. It works the opposite of that of screw gauge where a larger gauge screw creates a larger diameter screw.
