Brass Wall Light

So often we get asked for genuine ships' lanterns and this marks the entrance to our field of the style of light. The benefit of substantial rubber clasping seal around the glass makes it a near watertight entity.

This 230V Brass Wall Light has a protective cage to shield the glass from damage with four wing nuts for easy and fast disassembly. the benefit of this unit having a glass cage means you don't get the yellowing at all with glass, as most plastic lenses do get the yellowing and breakdown effect.

The main cage and base unit with wing nuts are made of solid brass (not brass plated steel). the unit is designed for either 12v or 24v (simply using a 12 or 24 volt bulb) and 110V or 230V and incorporates both positive and negative terminals on the 1" (25mm) Edison screw bulb receptacle to suit E27 bulb. It also has an earthing point terminal if using on 110 volt or 230 volt but this high voltage installation will need to be done by a certified electrician. Where the wire or cable entry is made, a proper lockout nut and rubber bush is installed to minimise any water ingress.

The finish is matching and even where the protection grid meets - the casting is the same on both opposing corners - it is not retro sanded to overcome bad casting marks as the casting is perfectly integrated in a one piece finish.
