Stainless steel will react with the timber treating chemicals found in pine decking timbers for houses in NZ.
Bronze is not effected by these chemicals so far, better suited for this type of installation.
While the Torx drive gives firm locking moment with the driver. If missed by the driver the benefit is you don't get a sharp point in your deck.
