EXHAUST INSULATION FOIL  is a refinement of fibreglass cloth laminated on to aluminium foil and is designed to wrap around ceramic insulation and give a neat finish - the glass cloth is integrally laminated into the thick foil.

It is an absorber used around high heat and dry exhaust areas, designed to dissapate the heat and wraps around the outside of our superwool part number 18401  (search on 18401 in the search box of our website)  So basically you wrap the superwool to 1-2 thicknesses (two thicknesses of 25mm superwool gives 50mm uncrushed) around the exhaust pipe and is rated to 1000 C degrees  continual use (1200 degrees C intermittant), then wrap this around the superwool to give a reflective dissapating cover.  This fibreglass insulation and foil laminate handles continuous temperatures to 649 degrees C, while the aluminiumized radiant side withstands temperatures up to 1093 degrees C.  Remembering this is the very outer layer, so these exhorbant temperatures would not be acceptable in engine rooms.

It will form to most shapes and is approximately 1.8mm thick. Measures 1m wide.

Navy grade 900gm/sq m. Priced by the meter and 1 metre wide.
