We use this as a deck hatch and door seal on our larger fishing boats.

As with all EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber is a versatile synthetic elastomer known for exceptionaldurability, UV, ozone and weather resistance.
Again as is usual to EPDM rubber, its only main concern is the poor resistance to petrolium based oils and fuels and greases. Continual contact will break down the seal.
Ideal for larger hatch door and lid seals.
