Inshore Navigation is a teaching system designed for the newcomer to navigation and pilotage.

It aims to give the yachtsman enough solid information to make daytime passages in reasonable weather.

As a deep water cruising man Tom Cunliffe knows his subject well. As a sailing instructor he is also sympathetic to the difficulties which the newcomer to navigation faces.
