Netting – Lifeline Medium Duty & Heavy Duty also suitable as a stowage net.
Strong braided nylon netting especially designed for lifelines around your vessel
It may be purchased by the metre that has an open diamond pattern, easy to see through giving maximum vision 50mm net (diagonal). You’ll keep the sails out of the water and help keep some of the smaller crew members on deck.
Because the medium duty material is woven on the diagonal, 1m of purchased length varies depending on what height you want to pull it up to. For example on medium grade if you want your rail netting to be 750mm wide, then you will need to purchase 1.3m of netting
Two grades available :
Medium Duty (photo with cat in) has a thinner material approx 1.8mm, and can be expanded out up to 750 mm maximum in width.
Because the medium duty material is woven on the diagonal, 1m of purchased length varies depending on what height you want to pull it up to. For example on medium grade if you want your rail netting to be 750mm wide, then you will need to purchase 1.3m of netting
For 1 metre of net with a 600mm height(width), you will need to order 1.2m on the order form
For 1 metre of net with a 700mm height(width), you will need to order 1.3m on the order form
For 1 metre of net with a 750mm height(width), you will need to order 1.4m on the order form
Heavy Duty has a thicker material approx 2.5 mm but also double woven where the mesh joint is, we have had this especially made.
It hangs vertically and because of the maximum width, (1250mm) we can simply cut to your height by being trimmed at the top as there is a thicker binding at the base which is normally secured by saddles to the deck. You will receive the length of your netting required and it will be 1.2m high. The example photo showing a small offcut against the carpet is what is supplied but of course 1250mm high. You can see the thicker bottom rope that would run along the bottom and your top lifeline gets threaded through the correct height (or you can thread a rope through the top if you are not using it on lifelines.
If you prefer us to cut it at the top for you, then simply give us the height you prefer, this adds 12 to 14 days as we have to spread it out in the loft area, the price per metre remains the same.
