The culmination of Raymarine’s' autopilot expertise and advanced aerospace guidance technology, Evolution Ai™ control algorithms deliver a new level of accurate autopilot control. At the centre of every Evolution system is the intelligent EV sensor core, a 9-axis sensor that monitors vessel motion in all three dimensions. The innovative EV sensor core combines advanced solid-state sensors with the Evolution autopilot processor into a single easy-to-install housing.
The EV-400 system consists of an EV-1 Sensor, ACU-400 Autopilot Control Unit, Control Head, Rudder reference sensor and an Evolution autopilot cabling kit suitable for vessels with any Type 1 to Type 3 drive unit (Hydraulic, Linear or Mechanical rotary).
EV-400 Sail: Designed for large sailboats and is compatible with Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 Raymarine hydraulic, linear and rotary mechanical drives. Drive units are purchased separately depending on your boat’s displacement and steering type.
EV-400 Power: Designed for large-size powerboats that use a Type 1, Type 2 or Type 3 hydraulic drive unit. Drive units are purchased separately depending on your boat’s ram capacity.

Sail pilot control P70S head uses buttons to adjust the course, the P70R supplied with the power pilot used a rotary knob.
